As broker and founder of The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in 2009, Lauren has developed strong relationships with several national, regional and local restaurants and retailers. She works as a client’s real estate partner, developing client’s overall expansion strategy, identifying target trade areas and securing locations that best meet the client’s desired demographics and budget. Clients include the national accounts for Aqua-Tots Swim Schools and Nothing Bundt Cakes, as well as regional accounts for Chili's, Hancock Fabrics, Panda Express, Pinkberry, Rack Room Shoes, Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen, and many others.

Prior to establishing The Retail Strategy, Lauren served as Vice President at SiteSource Real Estate Services, assisting local and national retailers with site selection and expansion plans. Lauren graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Real Estate Finance. She is currently the director of Women in Real Estate Development (WIRED) in Central Texas, co-chair of NextGen, serves as the South Texas International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Hispanic Chair and is a partner of Austin Independent Business Alliance (AIBA).

Greg joined The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in 2009 after graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Real Estate Finance. He interned with SiteSource Real Estate Services before joining The Retail Strategy. Greg specializes in tenant representation working with both national and regional restaurants and retailers including Panda Express, Chase Bank, Dairy Queen, Schlotzsky's, Applebee's and Hancock Fabrics. He is appreciated by his clients and teammates for his results driven attitude and the utmost emphasis he places on details and accuracy while meeting short deadlines.

Greg is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association (CLBA), as well as a partner of Austin Independent Business Alliance (AIBA).

Sara joined The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in January 2017 as a Retail Strategist. Prior to joining the team, Sara was a Real Estate Agent on the Ben Kinney Team with Keller Williams Realty here in Austin, TX. Sara graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Advertising/Public Relations.

In addition to her background in Real Estate, Sara has extensive experience in marketing and business development during her time with United Bankshares, Inc. in Washington, D.C. Prior to UBI, Sara worked with Omni Hotels & Resorts in Dallas, TX focusing on expanding the luxury hotel brand through multiple development and acquisitions.

With a reputation for placing clients’ needs, goals and objectives at the forefront of every transaction, Sara provides communication, negotiation and management skills in combinations with in-depth knowledge of the real estate market.

A rare native Austinite, Emily proudly embraces the culture of the city that has shaped her character and seeks to contribute to the community through both her professional and personal endeavors. Prior to joining The Retail Strategy, Emily was a Brokerage Assistant for The Retail Connection in Austin, TX for four years. During her time there she became proficient in adapting to the needs of brokers and clients in an ever changing industry.

In her personal time, you’ll most likely find Emily outside at the greenbelt or on the lake. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to live music, and traveling.

Mark joined The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in 2016 as a Retail Strategist. Mark comes to The Retail Strategy team with an extensive background in retail operations, having spent the past 8 years working for the second largest retailer in the world, Costco Wholesale, in various managerial roles. While at Costco Wholesale, Mark’s focus was on providing industry leading customer service, driving sales and productivity through merchandise and employee management, and closely monitoring expenses to ultimately produce maximum profits for the company and shareholders.

Mark graduated from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business in 2008 with a Finance degree, focusing on Real Estate Finance. Mark is appreciated for his dedication to consistently meeting and exceeding expectations, close attention to detail, and results driven personality, all while operating within short time constraints.

Meredith joined The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in late 2012 as Director of Operations. Her background is in operations and office management for start-ups and small businesses experiencing rapid-growth phases. Meredith specializes in organizational development, project management and relationship building with a passion for providing the highest quality client service.

Her previous experience is in health care, where she worked closely with hospitals, medical and veterinary practices, pharmacies, nutritional supplement and pharmaceutical companies. Meredith graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in English and Communications. She is also a member of the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce.

Paul joined the The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in 2017 as an Organization Design and Process Improvement Specialist. His background is in systems engineering and project management. Paul honed his analytical and project skills in the defense and energy industries and specializes in managing complex projects.

Paul graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with a BS in Systems Engineering and summa cum laude from Texas State University with an MBA. He takes great pride in his work and strives for perfection in all of his endeavors.

She provides timely, efficient and accurate administrative support to the team, and is approachable, well presented and able to establish good working relationships with a range of different people. Brie possesses a proven ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to problems.

Her previous experience is in retirement living and healthcare where she worked closely with hospitals, physicians and other senior living entities. She graduated with a B.S. Business Administrative degree from Notre Dame de Namur University.

Miller joined The Retail Strategy brokerage team in 2017 after spending the previous two years in Austin’s tech industry. With a strong background in sales and marketing, Miller brings a high level of business acumen, strong networking skills and client engagement experience to the team. He has a passion for solving problems, producing high quality work and achieving team goals.

Miller graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Political Science and Communications. He was a four-year varsity athlete for the Tar Heels and a U.S. Army All-American in high school. In his free time he enjoys the outdoors, listening to live music and watching his beloved Carolina sports teams play.

Reagan joined The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group as a Retail Strategist in January 2015. After departing to spend a year as an Acquisitions Manager for Lidl US, she has returned to help drive Business Development and mentor our brokerage team. She graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX with a double business degree in Entrepreneurial Management and eBusiness.

In addition to her background in Real Estate in both Texas and Colorado, Reagan has extensive experience in sales support and account management during her time with BNSF in Forth Worth, TX and Vancouver, British Columbia. With knowledge of the real estate market and comprehensive experience in customer relationship management, she guides her clients through the complexities of the retail real estate site selection. Reagan is focused on always maintaining a higher standard of quality and is committed to exceeding her client’s expectations!
William Shamburg

Mr. Shamburg joined The Retail Strategy Real Estate Group in 2013 as a Site Selection Specialist. Having academic degrees in Geographic Information Science (GIS) as well as Urban and Regional Planning allows Mr. Shamburg to effectively apply powerful GIS tools to complex site selection tasks.

Prior to The Retail Strategy, Mr. Shamburg worked with a planning and land development consulting firm for 4 years as a Geospatial Specialist and Planner. He also spent two years at Halff Associates, a private engineering consulting firm, providing GIS solutions ranging from county-wide floodplain delineations to environmental constraints mapping to an office of over 50 engineers, planners and architects.

Alexandra or “Zan” as everyone knows her, joined The Retail Strategy in July 2017 as a Broker’s Assistant. With a long history in the sales, customer satisfaction, and service industry, Zan epitomizes the hard work, dedication, and energy required to provide support to clients where they need it most.

Incredibly passionate and driven, Zan has taken all the necessary steps to build her career in Real Estate. Prior to joining the team, she was a Real Estate Agent/Buyer Specialist on the Austin Properties Group team out of Keller Williams Realty, going through intensive training from top-tier agents in the industry and living/breathing the market day in-and-out.

A 2007 graduate from the University of Miami with an English and Psychology degree; prior to transitioning into real estate, Zan worked on National Sales teams for Coca-Cola, was instrumental in the marketing behind Moet-Hennessy brands and was also in account management and growth for a software company in Austin. She is an avid animal lover, prefers pizza over salads, and enjoys taking in live music around town.
