Ashby grew up in the Houston area and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Geography and Environmental Sustainability. While working toward his degree, he became interested in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and decided to pursue a career in the field. Upon learning of the unique way in which The Retail Strategy blends commercial real estate with GIS, he immediately knew this was where he wanted to be. When not at work he enjoys reading, films, going to concerts, and playing board/video games.
